Why We Ride

The mission of Bike.Build.Home 500 (BBH) is to raise funds for affordable housing organizations while building community and camaraderie with a multi-day bicycle ride.

This ride continues fine traditions of the Habitat 500 bike ride, which was coordinated by Habitat for Humanity for 30 years.  During that time, bike riders have raised over $7 million to build affordable homes.  Past riders, committee members, and founders of the Habitat 500 formed an organization to carry on this ride. BBH utilizes the nearly-all-volunteer spirit of the original Habitat 500, updating it with what we learned from Habitat Minnesota.

* A Better Society serves as the fiscal sponsor to Bike.Build.Home 500.
